Leslie Stewart, DVM
(Colorado State University)
Dr. Stewart has lived in Las Vegas since 1991, after her father retired from the Air Force. Although she enjoyed living in various states and countries, she is proud to call Las Vegas her permanent home. She is a 2001 UNLV alum and a 2006 graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Her professional interests are in small animal Internal Medicine, Dentistry, and practice management.
Dr. Stewart has worked within our group of hospitals since 1996. She started as a receptionist, then became a Licensed Veterinary Technician until leaving for veterinary school in 2002. She returned home after completing veterinary school and practiced at one of our sister hospitals until she joined our team at Town Center Animal Hospital in March 2013.
Dr. Stewart’s pet family includes Birdie, a 14 year old Schnauzer/Pomeranian mix who is the Queen bee, Nemo, an 8 year old Poodle/Chihuahua mix who is everyone’s best friend and Mojo, a year old Sphinx mix who’s rattled up the pack in the best but sneakiest ways possible!
In her spare time, she is usually with her son, close family, or friends enjoying a classic dinner and movie night or exploring the city and any new experience it offers. She loves home improvement, road trips, international travel, and historical sites.
Charlotte Pulliam, DVM
Dr. Charlotte Pulliam joined Town Center Animal Hospital in July 2013. She was born and raised in Oakland, CA, and has always had a passion for animals and learning. She decided at a young age that being a veterinarian would be the best way to culminate her love for all animals.
She obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary medicine from Tuskegee University after receiving her bachelor’s degree in animal and veterinary sciences in 2009. She enjoyed Southern living. However, she decided to move back to the west coast to be closer to family and friends.
She has a 15-year-old blue Chihuahua named Blue and a 6-year-old merle Chihuahua called Ocean – who can both usually be found in her shadow. In her free time, she can generally be found interior decorating somewhere, cooking, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with family (Blue and Ocean included) and friends.
She hopes to one-day volunteer in veterinary care in developing countries.
Amber Pepper, DVM
Dr. Amber Pepper was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She then started veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean and completed her clinical training at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Pepper completed a rotating internship at the Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, emphasizing internal medicine, before joining the Town Center Animal Hospital team in August 2016. It was here that she rescued her beloved Skunk, who a Good Samaritan brought in after being hit by a car.
You can find her three-legged pup by her side wherever she goes, be it working, traveling, or eating great food.
Rachel Pool, DVM
(Louisiana State University)
Dr. Pool was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Florida State University. During her time there, she worked in a research lab studying the ecology and evolution of fish, followed by work at a wildlife refuge on the Florida Gulf Coast. She attended Veterinary School at Louisiana State University and graduated in 2020. Her professional interests are internal medicine, nutrition, and wildlife.
In her free time, she enjoys running, outdoor activities, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
Dr. Pool currently has two cats; a 5-year-old Himalayan named Loki and a 1-year-old black domestic shorthair named Jrue.
Brittany Jermalovic, DVM
(Washington State University)
Dr. Brittany Jermalovic was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She developed an appreciation of the human-animal bond at a young age which drove her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Jermalovic received a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the University of Anchorage, Alaska in 2015 and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University in 2016. She achieved her dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) in 2020. During veterinary school, she combined her passion for community service and travel by volunteering with Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS) and World Vets in Ecuador. Her interests include Neurology, surgery, and acupuncture.
Being from Alaska, Dr. Jermalovic loves the great outdoors, ranging from hiking, camping, snowboarding, and kayaking. Her dog, Grisha, can accompany her on many outdoor adventures.
Dr. Noelle Callahan
Dr. Noelle Callahan was born and raised in Maryland. Her interest in veterinary medicine all began when she begged her mother for a cat at four years old. As she continued to grow older (and finally got that cat), she found a love for science and eventually medicine and thought there was no better way to combine her love of medicine with her love of animals than to become a veterinarian. She received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and minor in Chemistry from Andrews University in 2016. Before starting vet school, she interned at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Indiana, taking care of various exotic animals, from lions and tigers to monkeys and lemurs! She then obtained her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in 2021. Her professional interests include surgery and nutrition.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the gym, trying new food places, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat Sunshine. Sunshine is a 10-year-old Domestic Shorthair who is the extrovert in the household and can spend her time wherever the people are.
Dr. Hillary Hammond DVM, MPH
(University of Tennessee)
Dr. Hammond joined Town Center Animal Hospital in April 2022. As the eldest daughter of two physicians, she grew up deeply interested in science and medicine. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dr. Hammond attended Carson Newman College (outside of Knoxville, TN) on a softball scholarship. There she completed her undergraduate studies in biology. She graduated from the University of Tennessee (GO VOLS!), earning degrees in Veterinary Medicine and Public Health. During her senior year in veterinary school, Dr. Hammond was the recipient of the Pfizer Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship Award for academic performance and leadership, as well as the Novartis Excellence in dermatology award. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, holistic medicine, and veterinary public health.
Away from work, Dr. Hammond is a busy single mom trying to keep up with her three adorable children. Her family shares their lives with a goofy poodle named Pickle and two desert tortoises. Her hobbies include traveling (especially beach destinations), snowboarding, hiking, camping, and music festivals. Dr. Hammond is a self-proclaimed “Foodie” and loves exploring the sights, sounds, and tastes of Las Vegas.
