We at Town Center Animal Hospital would like to update our clients on the new developments of Canine Influenza.
The more virulent H3N2 strain has now been diagnosed in Nevada. Currently there are over 150 confirmed cases in the state. Several deaths have also occurred due to the contraction of the virus. Many of our clients have already come in to get the two shot series to protect their pets.
We as a hospital are moving towards requiring the Canine Influenza combination vaccine for all animals that will be staying in our hospital for an extended period of time.
We strongly encourage everyone to take this virus seriously and get at risk pets vaccinated. If you have any questions regarding Canine Influenza please feel free to call anytime.
