Dr. Sully Morales recently joined the Town Center Animal Hospital team, so we wanted to share a little bit more about her with our clients and friends.
"I love it here, it's been great," Dr. Morales said. "The staff is really great and I love working here. There's never a boring day working here."
"The service and quality of medicine we practice here are top notch," she added. "Everyone is really compassionate and we truly care about the animals we see, so that's one of the best things about working here."
Like many veterinarians, Dr. Morales' desire to practice veterinary medicine came from an early age.
"I've always wanted to be able to help animals in any way I could," she said. "My mom tells me that I said I was going to be a pet doctor since I was three or four years old, I have no memory of that but apparently it's been inside me for a long time."
Dr. Morales has had a long path to her veterinary career at Town Center Animal Hospital, and it started in Puerto Rico, where she grew up.
"I did my undergrad in Puerto Rico," she said. "I majored in animal science with the intention of working with large animals at that time. I got accepted to Louisiana State, and from there I switched to small animals."
Dr. Morales had a lot of preconceptions about Las Vegas before she moved here, but she said they weren't all true.
"I love Vegas, it's not how I thought it would be. I'm an outdoorsy person, and there is more nature and places to hike than people think," she said.
In her time off, Dr. Morales enjoys hiking, pilates, knitting, and beading. She has one dog, Dash, a one year old Dashshund.
